Laugh You "Stomach" Off, Because You Deserve It

Helo dear readers,

We practically laugh everyday, but ever heard of the benefits that laughing could possible bring about to our life? Well...there is a saying, when the wolrd show you a thousand reasons to cry, show the world a thousand reason to smile (or something like that ^^)

The below are the reasons why YOU must laugh, hehe

The many benefits of laughter
1. When you make fun of yourself, you disempower those who would make fun of you and disarm possible confrontations.

2. Laughter dissolves tension, stress, anxiety, irritation, anger, grief, and depression. Like crying, laughter lowers inhibitions, allowing the release of pent-up emotions. After a hearty bout of laughter, you will experience a sense of well-being. Simply put, he who laughs, lasts. After all, if you can laugh at it, you can live with it. Remember, a person without a sense of humor is like a car without shock absorbers.

3. Medical researches have found that laughter boosts the immune system. The study of how behavior and the brain affect the immune system is called psychoneuroimmunology. Though still in its infancy, this science is rapidly gaining much attention as mankind strives to understand the mind-body relationship.

4. Laughter reduces pain by releasing endorphins that are more potent than equivalent amounts of morphine.

5. Humor helps integrate both hemispheres of our brain, for the left hemisphere is used to decipher the verbal content of a joke while the right hemisphere interprets whether it is funny or not.6. Laughter adds spice to life; it is to life what salt is to a hard-boiled egg.

7. Develop your sense of humor and you will find you are more productive, a better communicator, and a superior team player.

8. Everyone loves someone who can make them laugh. The more you share your sense of humor, the more friends you will have.

9. Humor brings the balance we need to get through the turbulence of life comfortably.

10. Laughter is even equivalent to a small amount of exercise. It massages all the organs of the body, according to Dr. James Walsh.

11. A sense of humor can help you accept the inevitable, rise to any challenge, handle the unexpected with ease, and come out of any difficulty smiling.

Vietnam Bizzare Law : No Small Breast, Skinny & Short Women On Motorcycle

Not to be mistaken as a social taboo, this indeed will be an established law in Vietnam. The health ministry of Vietnam is undergoing a programme of reconstructing ralated laws of health. In order to assure all motorcyclist are in good health condition, the ministry had came out with a rather peculiar sets of new rules and regulation. The proposal would be, women who are too short, too skinny or too 'small' will not be able to ride a motorcycle in public. And, when we say too 'small', yes indeed, it's boobs. Women who are 28 inch (76cm) or smaller on her chestline are forbidden from riding a motorcycle. Reason behind.... They are classified as unhealthy or malnourished community who bears big risk in riding this vehicle.

However, statistic shows, Vietnamese women are generally petite who an average height of 155 cm and weight of 47 kg. Therefore, this issue raises quite an attention on the questionable law and method of measurement. For instance, how are the policemen going to measure the chestline of women? By using hand?

Plenty of comments had been given by the community there concerning this troublesome rules, which would actually affect their lives. Some even joked, nu-bras and plastic surgeries are going to be the most lucrative industry in future. Nontheless, there could only be a silent-riot before any of these go under announcement and looks like they will just have to sit and wait...

Give Your Stomach A Treat, Come Visit Penang, Malaysia

One of the very nicest things about life is the way we must regularly stop whatever it is we are doing and devote our attention to eating. ~Luciano Pavarotti and William Wright, Pavarotti, My Own Story

If you think you tasted the best food on earth, wait till you try the food that we penangites have to offer.

If you think you have savoured the most exotic food ever served in human history, think again. Penang offers a variety of exquisite, sumptous and special food that have successfully continue to thrill food lovers around the world. Sadly though, it is sometimes because of such craziness on food that some people go for the extreme, and thrive on flesh and meat of those nearly extinct animals. Well like it or not, we have it all here, good news or bad news.

with the countries' rich history dating back to the 18 and 19 century, Penang evolved from a unknown Island until the British came and took control of the Island. Since then the british had brought in lots of Chinese immigrants and Indian immigrants into the country, in order to cater to the country's rising economy. it is because of this that today, we Malaysians live amongst together as one, placing aside, racial, cultural, and religious differences. Penang is truly a unique place not to be missed.

Three major types of food offered here are Indian food, Chinese food and Malay, of which all three possess their own unique and delicious taste.

well, without furdo ado, allow me to introduce one of the most favourite and common dish found here, a true local delicacy.

First and formost, allow me to introduce the renowned "hokkien mee" an all-time favourite prawn soup noodle, a little bit spicy yet full of fragrance.

well if you were to stroll around Penang island, you would have also found this to be really popular, "nasi Lemak". Although this dish is originally tradional malay food, but through time, people have came to assimilate and grew to love this one of a kind unique dish.

Next, allow me the introduce this special dish, dedicated to the readers of the big stomach a blog, which is considered a chinese food, but has also over time, grew to be a favourite among locals of all races.

Ladies and gentlemen, Char Koey Tiao (hokkien) or could be translated as Fried "flattened" noodles in english.

try it, you might just like it ^^

Well, now for a bit of a desert. This is "Ais Kacang" or "peanut Ice", ice blended that comes with an assortment of toppings and lovely goodies.

Last but not least.....Tong Sui (though i duno how to translate this) but is also another kind of desert served after having your big stomach filled with lovely, lovely, and more lovely local food^^

So..the question remains...where to find these food you say? As I have mentioned, penang is a very special place to visit. All of the above food could be found almost anywhere in any local hawker stall. Its simply unique in Penang as food sellers could just sell food by the road side, operating from early morning to sometimes late at night, depending on the locations.

here' an example of the famous Gurney Street, which is one of the tourist spots and attraction. Here we have all the hawkers stalls selling all kinds of penang local cuisines...by the road side! where you enjoy the gnetle breeze of the sea, the calming sound of the waves and the astounding view provided free by mothernature^^

So, you claim yourself to be a food lover, and you never even tried Penang food, Malaysian style...What a shame ->.^

Forbes's World Next Great City : Kuala Lumpur Ranked the 4th

The world is devastated by the financial crisis which claimed to toss million and million of job ruthlessly. Not forgeting, some of the world strongest cities also took a deep impact in this economic tsunami. However, when one door is closed, another opens up. Thus, not joking, but this is actually the best period for an emerging city to arraise and become the next-big-thing in the world. Therefore, Forbes Magazine also take a research of the next potential great cities and got the result.

1st Shanghai, China
2nd Beijing, China
3rd Budapest, Hungary
4th Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
5th Santiago, Chile
6th Guang-Zhou, China
7th Mexico City, Mexico
8th Warsaw, Poland
9th Bangkok, Thailand
10th Shenzhen, China
(From Forbes. com)

The aspect of consideration (marking scheme) is based on the commercial environment, economic growth rates, business relation, education & IT conectivity, life standard and security. As we can see, 4 of the above lists come from China stating that China is truly a rising power not to be underestimated. Shanghai and Beijing topped the list with high marks that is actually in the leagues of their own. Researchers also noted that Shenzhen has the most potential to thrive in becoming a great city one day.

To my surprise, Kuala Lumpur actually scored well in life standard and commercial environment but did pretty nasty in education & IT conectivity. As so, I urges the government to take drastic measure as the experts have already pointed our strength and weaknesses to improve and conquer the list, well, not only on the list but reality. Still, I have trouble wondering where is the placing of our lovely Penang..... (Plz don't frozen our potential like a heritage...)

Holiday Must See! Mamma Mia

It is a rather unique movie to be watch, a musical movie which is roled played a Meryl Streep (Still remember the Devil Wears Prada) and co-stared by many many more hot celebrity like Pierce Brosnan etc. This movie is an instant smash-hit when I saw the thriller, well, however, exam is coming so i have no time to watch it..... Better see the thriller....
