A Music Revolution
But those were the olden days, the music industry in the late 90s till now has tranformed. Back to the late 90s, boy bands like Backstreet Boys and N-Sync, groups like Spice Girls, lead us to a new form of music, pop (to be sarcastic, bubblegum pop). With heavy beats and can't-get-out-of-ur-head rhythm, it reigns to supreme. Almost every hit singles now resemblance this same kind of formula.
However, to be honest, I am tired of it these days. Being still OK with R&B/Soul music, I am startin' to be annoyed by them. It's true that it can be very addictive, for a short time. Songs like this comes and goes really quickly as we can see, one day it's on the top of the chart, the next it's out (to borrow a sentence from Heidi Klum).
Fortunately, a new force is rushing in this industry these days. It is, I would consider a new form of music, a concocktion of jazz, pop and blues. Artist on the line? These three are my favourites, Amy Winehouse, Duffy and Adele. Songs like Rehab, Back to Black and These Tears Dry On Their Own from Amy are not to be missed and should be well-appreciated (luckily Grammy does). Well, I believe Duffy and Adele might be less-known to some of you, but trust me, they rocks! Songs I would recommend is Chasing Pavement, Hometown Glory from Adele and Mercy, Warwick Avenue from Duffy.
And now, the lastest single that is burning MTV these days, Stepping Stone from Duffy (hope you enjoy)

BSB Featured Artist Of The Month - Beyonce Knowles
Sasha is out again! Beyonce's third solo album I Am... Sasha Fierce will be released in 18th November in US. This album took her almost one year to completion which is significantly longer than her previous solo and former group, Destiny's Child album. She revealed that she has co-written and co-produced over 70 songs.
In a statement released on Knowles official website, she wrote:
"I am in a different place right now and I wanted to people to see the many sides of me. The music is upbeat for the dance, fun side and it is reflective, passionate and serious for the personal side. I have taken risks here. I am not afraid and my music will explain it all. There is no label or tag on my sound. It's me and I am so excited to share it with the world on November 18."
Well, looks like B is aiming higher and higher, and we do have a lot of expectation for her.
Here, readers, check out her latest singles including If I Were A Boy and Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It).
If I Were A Boy
Her vocals are great in this song, probably exceeding all of her previous single. And I think this song will prove that Irreplacable will actually be replacable after all. Haha...
Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)
The choreography in this single is great! Well, Bee is always gotta be bootylicious!
Oops! Almost forgotten.... This album comes with 2 discs which is this first one 'I Am...' and second one 'Sasha Fierce'. The first disc, I think is mainly about how she feels and what is she right now, in a more Soul/R&B side. On the other hand, 'Sasha Fierce' is which I consider an alter ego of her, Sasha, who would be so fierce and pumped with confident on the stage.

SHOCKING! - Hundreds of Nudes Cross the Tyne
Readers,
While browisng the net lately on bizzare news/news of the world, i came across this funny piece of info, directly BBC news. here's the whole piece of the info, just for your stomach^^ ENJOY!
Hundreds of Nudes Cross the Tyne
1,700 men and women have appeared naked in Tyneside in the name of art.
Starting at a chilly 0400 BST, they posed at four locations in Newcastle and Gateshead, donning plastic white ponchos to cross the River Tyne.
New York photographer Spencer Tunick enlisted the volunteers for Naked City, his first large-scale UK installation.
It follows his nude photo shoots in New York, Barcelona, Belgium and Brazil. "There is a sensual element to it, but it's not a sexual experience," he said.
'Public sphere'
Gateshead's Baltic Centre said the work would show "the poetic whole resulting from individual bodies arranged in a sculptural way in an urban setting".
This would "challenge traditionally-held views on nudity and privacy as well as social and political issues surrounding art in the public sphere".
Volunteers from around the world - including Australia, Belgium and Peru - signed up, among them a vicar.
They had to dodge chips and kebab remnants dropped by the previous night's revellers as they made their way around a cordoned-off section of the Newcastle and Gateshead quaysides.
Designer Cally Daniels, 34, from Edinburgh, said the event had nothing to do with exhibitionism.
She said: "It was strange not to be self-conscious in that environment - normally I wouldn't even wear a skirt, I only wear trousers, so nobody even sees my legs."
University lecturer Fiona Jamieson, from Newcastle, added: "The photos are of nude people, but there is nothing sexual about it.
"It's about being completely natural, normal human beings, and everyone can be in the photos."
"The people who do this installation will be very lucky, because they got beyond their fears to do it "
Spencer Tunick
A documentary following the event - Naked City: Spencer Tunick in Newcastle Gateshead - will be broadcast on BBC Three at 2100 BST on Sunday.
Tunick, 38, carried out the world's largest nude photo shoot in Barcelona in June 2003, when 7,000 volunteers stripped for the camera.
In 1994 both he and a female model were arrested in New York when she posed nude on top of an eight-foot high replica Christmas tree in Manhattan's Rockerfeller Center.
Among those taking part in Newcastle were Tunick fans who follow him around the world.

Barack Obama, John McCain, Or Paris Hilton?
"This is the biggest depression since 'The Notebook,' " Hilton says. "How about helping the people who are losing their homes? How about lowering inflated interest rates so it's not impossible for them to pay their mortgage? I know its not as much money for the banks, but it's better than no money at all. Just ask MC Hammer."
Sheen proclaims, "Loves it," and then tells Hilton not to worry, because she's "going to make a great fake president."
Hilton then says, "America was at its best when it was on NBC," to which Sheen replies, "Wait till it's on MTV" (hey, that's us!). Hilton then turns to the camera and proclaims, "See you at the fake inauguration, bitches!"

Laugh You "Stomach" Off, Because You Deserve It
We practically laugh everyday, but ever heard of the benefits that laughing could possible bring about to our life? Well...there is a saying, when the wolrd show you a thousand reasons to cry, show the world a thousand reason to smile (or something like that ^^)
The below are the reasons why YOU must laugh, hehe
The many benefits of laughter
1. When you make fun of yourself, you disempower those who would make fun of you and disarm possible confrontations.
2. Laughter dissolves tension, stress, anxiety, irritation, anger, grief, and depression. Like crying, laughter lowers inhibitions, allowing the release of pent-up emotions. After a hearty bout of laughter, you will experience a sense of well-being. Simply put, he who laughs, lasts. After all, if you can laugh at it, you can live with it. Remember, a person without a sense of humor is like a car without shock absorbers.
3. Medical researches have found that laughter boosts the immune system. The study of how behavior and the brain affect the immune system is called psychoneuroimmunology. Though still in its infancy, this science is rapidly gaining much attention as mankind strives to understand the mind-body relationship.
4. Laughter reduces pain by releasing endorphins that are more potent than equivalent amounts of morphine.
5. Humor helps integrate both hemispheres of our brain, for the left hemisphere is used to decipher the verbal content of a joke while the right hemisphere interprets whether it is funny or not.6. Laughter adds spice to life; it is to life what salt is to a hard-boiled egg.
7. Develop your sense of humor and you will find you are more productive, a better communicator, and a superior team player.
8. Everyone loves someone who can make them laugh. The more you share your sense of humor, the more friends you will have.
9. Humor brings the balance we need to get through the turbulence of life comfortably.
10. Laughter is even equivalent to a small amount of exercise. It massages all the organs of the body, according to Dr. James Walsh.
11. A sense of humor can help you accept the inevitable, rise to any challenge, handle the unexpected with ease, and come out of any difficulty smiling.

Vietnam Bizzare Law : No Small Breast, Skinny & Short Women On Motorcycle
However, statistic shows, Vietnamese women are generally petite who an average height of 155 cm and weight of 47 kg. Therefore, this issue raises quite an attention on the questionable law and method of measurement. For instance, how are the policemen going to measure the chestline of women? By using hand?
Plenty of comments had been given by the community there concerning this troublesome rules, which would actually affect their lives. Some even joked, nu-bras and plastic surgeries are going to be the most lucrative industry in future. Nontheless, there could only be a silent-riot before any of these go under announcement and looks like they will just have to sit and wait...

Give Your Stomach A Treat, Come Visit Penang, Malaysia
If you think you tasted the best food on earth, wait till you try the food that we penangites have to offer.
If you think you have savoured the most exotic food ever served in human history, think again. Penang offers a variety of exquisite, sumptous and special food that have successfully continue to thrill food lovers around the world. Sadly though, it is sometimes because of such craziness on food that some people go for the extreme, and thrive on flesh and meat of those nearly extinct animals. Well like it or not, we have it all here, good news or bad news.
with the countries' rich history dating back to the 18 and 19 century, Penang evolved from a unknown Island until the British came and took control of the Island. Since then the british had brought in lots of Chinese immigrants and Indian immigrants into the country, in order to cater to the country's rising economy. it is because of this that today, we Malaysians live amongst together as one, placing aside, racial, cultural, and religious differences. Penang is truly a unique place not to be missed.
Three major types of food offered here are Indian food, Chinese food and Malay, of which all three possess their own unique and delicious taste.
well, without furdo ado, allow me to introduce one of the most favourite and common dish found here, a true local delicacy.
First and formost, allow me to introduce the renowned "hokkien mee" an all-time favourite prawn soup noodle, a little bit spicy yet full of fragrance.
well if you were to stroll around Penang island, you would have also found this to be really popular, "nasi Lemak". Although this dish is originally tradional malay food, but through time, people have came to assimilate and grew to love this one of a kind unique dish.
Next, allow me the introduce this special dish, dedicated to the readers of the big stomach a blog, which is considered a chinese food, but has also over time, grew to be a favourite among locals of all races.
Ladies and gentlemen, Char Koey Tiao (hokkien) or could be translated as Fried "flattened" noodles in english.
try it, you might just like it ^^
Well, now for a bit of a desert. This is "Ais Kacang" or "peanut Ice", ice blended that comes with an assortment of toppings and lovely goodies.
Last but not least.....Tong Sui (though i duno how to translate this) but is also another kind of desert served after having your big stomach filled with lovely, lovely, and more lovely local food^^
So..the question remains...where to find these food you say? As I have mentioned, penang is a very special place to visit. All of the above food could be found almost anywhere in any local hawker stall. Its simply unique in Penang as food sellers could just sell food by the road side, operating from early morning to sometimes late at night, depending on the locations.
here' an example of the famous Gurney Street, which is one of the tourist spots and attraction. Here we have all the hawkers stalls selling all kinds of penang local cuisines...by the road side! where you enjoy the gnetle breeze of the sea, the calming sound of the waves and the astounding view provided free by mothernature^^
So, you claim yourself to be a food lover, and you never even tried Penang food, Malaysian style...What a shame ->.^

Forbes's World Next Great City : Kuala Lumpur Ranked the 4th
1st Shanghai, China
2nd Beijing, China
3rd Budapest, Hungary
4th Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
5th Santiago, Chile
6th Guang-Zhou, China
7th Mexico City, Mexico
8th Warsaw, Poland
9th Bangkok, Thailand
10th Shenzhen, China
(From Forbes. com)
The aspect of consideration (marking scheme) is based on the commercial environment, economic growth rates, business relation, education & IT conectivity, life standard and security. As we can see, 4 of the above lists come from China stating that China is truly a rising power not to be underestimated. Shanghai and Beijing topped the list with high marks that is actually in the leagues of their own. Researchers also noted that Shenzhen has the most potential to thrive in becoming a great city one day.
To my surprise, Kuala Lumpur actually scored well in life standard and commercial environment but did pretty nasty in education & IT conectivity. As so, I urges the government to take drastic measure as the experts have already pointed our strength and weaknesses to improve and conquer the list, well, not only on the list but reality. Still, I have trouble wondering where is the placing of our lovely Penang..... (Plz don't frozen our potential like a heritage...)

Hot News - Teachers' Skirmish Goes Physical, Students Helpless
Kim Moh (or literally translated as blondie in english) was the hokkien nickname affectionately given to Mdm tang, who had, over the years won the hearts of her students as one of the responsible and amiable teachers in the school. However, even a teacher such as this had been humiliated in such a way never known before.
The horrendous scene was witnessed first handed by the students of 1A4 as they were attending their science classes as usual, which unfortunately took a wrong turn when Mdm. Tay (The assailant) budged into the room unwelcomed in a anxious and raging manner.
Armed with only papers in her hand, she verbally reprimanded the teacher in class (Mdm Tang) claiming her to be careless in doing her work, with all the numbers typed wrong in the papers held in her hand. Astonished, Mdm tang was helpless as mdm Tay turned her attention to the class.
"同学们 (Tong1 Xue2 Men2 , meaning students), you see this...you see that" continued Mdm Tay, incessantly criticising Mdm Tang's so called ugly work. "The numbers are all wrong...you see this page...四十(Si4 Shi2 , meaning forty)...its all wrong!"
being Protective and offended, the class tossed the most sarcastic, cynical look that they could possibly toss at Mdm Tay, obviously annoyed that she had most unreasonably offended Mdm Tang and interrupting her class.
Most incredulously, while some of the papers were indeed wrong, some of them were of Mdm tang's mistakes. One student immediately took this chance to shoot back in sarcasm, but to do avail.
"We really hate her for doing this. I heard from my friends that she was a good teacher, I don't know why she does this to Mdm Tang, and of course we supported her. When she leaved the class and came back, our class cheered for her and told her we supported her. That teacher shouldnt budged into our class this unreasonably" was what a student from 1A4 interview by the big stomach said. The respondant, (e-name SNOW) was one of students who first handedly witness the scene, and had generously gave the big stomach juicy news on this matter.
Later, when mdm Tay left the room, mdm Tang quicken her footsteps going out too before returning. Sources said that she was on the verged of tears, but had valiantly kept on teaching the students to copy their works.
The news was spreaded incredibly fast as the whole afternoon session students were made known of this little skirmish between the teachers. Gossip soon turned into hatred against Mdm Tay, of which many claimed her to be wrong.
The big stomach would like to take this oppurtunity to thank all respondants of the BBB (Big Stomach Blog) news, which had given their support all the way long.
Also, specialy thanks to:

Google Attack! G1 Phone Threaten iPhone
In pass few years, iPhone had become the dominant phone on the market (which I am using now) and claimed to have sold over 4 millions in this period of time. Susprises doesn't ends here while Apple launched another earth shaking phone, iPhone 3G, freaturing 3G, scientific calculator etc. function and costs half the price (USD 199)! Once again, consumers are attracted and reign shops to get this phone in first hand.

There phone are yet to be official sold in Malaysia for now, sorry for us. However, what would actually happen to those common phone brands like Nokia, Sony Errison etc. if they did launched in our counter, I wonder...

Heat Continues - Tuition Centre May Face Charges
Apparently, the students were being tricked into taking an unknown drink without knowing its content in a room with its lights turn off. This tuition centre, "Pusat Bimbingan Inovatif" or often abbreviated as PBI Tuition Centre, had outrageously transform itself into a "temporary" discoteque on 17 October 2008, the day when the PMR exam finished.
Sources said that while most of the form 1 students are not involved in the party as held by the tuition owner, they are then persuaded into "joining in" by the very ownder himself, where he had deliberately assured them that "everything will be fine, take your lunch here and then go to school". Moments later, the crowd witness a shocking scene when students turned off the lights of the tuition centre, and continue enjoying themself singing Karaoke in the dimly lit room.
Tragedy strikes when the students were given unidentified drinks only known to them as "Ribena" which, after enquiries had shown to be a deadly mixture of red wine, 10o plus, 7Up and Ribenna. One student who was not very sure immediately stop drinking after tasting the usual alcoholic feel in the mouth. Another student, who was much less fortunate however, had taken the whole glass.
"I was tricked. I ddin't knew it was alcoholic after they told me when I finished drinking. The mixture had been successful enough to cover the smell" a victim claimed.
Surprising, the tuition centre suffered no consequences even till today. Although the school authorities had shown ardent will in solving this case, but till today the man still lives a free life. He had consciously allowed students to party in his tuition centre, and had, as people claimed, brought alcoholic drinks into the room full of underage students.
Parents were notified of the event naturally, but whatever the actions that they intend to take, the big stomach is still unsure of it. However, the big stomach is certain that the school refuse to void the 50 marks of demerit punished upon the students, even because of utter foolishness and carelessness that they had taken it without knowledge of it being alcohol.

Hot News - Alcoholism Strikes Terror In School (17/08/08)
The alleged student, 13 is believed to be drinking before stepping upon school grounds, but was seen to be drunk by his friends in the afternoon session, of which one fo them reported to the teacher. while pleading guilty to the charges of him involving himself in alcoholic drink, the offender however, stressed that he did not have that drink in school compound.
Sources that were gathered by the Big Stomach Blog reveals a shocking truth. Initially after PMR (A Goverment exam for all students aged 15), a nearby popular tuition centre held a party, which includes food, beverage and red wines. Although not connected, the offender is believed to have joined the party, and was said to drank 4 glass of red wines.
Immediately after being called to the teacher's room, the news spread like wild fire among the people. Not only was the student a mere student, but was believed to be a member of the school's prefectorial board.
When asked of the consequences the alleged "prefect" will face, the board of prefects denied to give any comments but stressed that appropriate measures will be taken to curb such indiscipline and misconduct from happening again, punishment in accordance with the law will be carried out.
"I am truly sadden to hear one of my members involving themselves in such shameful acts. But I would like to make it clear that no such issues as such will happen without harsh consequences. We (the board of prefects) will not tolerate such incompetant prefects" said a commitee member of the prefectorial board, of whom did not wish to reveal his identity. According to the prefect, he was only made known of the issue 1 day after the incident, and was shocked because no such things ever occured before in the board's history.
The schools had taken strict measures against the student, and had deducted him 50 marks of his merits marks. Whether or not the student will be suspended, the school management had not yet determined.
Again This is Mr.Sphyncter reporting for BBB News.
Hot News - Uproar in School, Students Charged With Unknown Crime
The local school management, upon detaining the students had informed them of their "accused charges" which were "designing a class uniform (or Class- T-shirt)" and "designing and creating a class magazine". However, when asked of whether the students were also charged on copyright infirngement of using the school's logo in the T-Shirt, the students had denied of such accusations and pleaded not guilty before the teachers.
The Big Stomach Blog has also been informed that without further investigation, the teachers had punished the students severely by deducting all students involved a total of 25 merit marks (considered a big offense or xiao3 guo4). It also also learned that teachers would only announced later that designing a class T-shirts is banned, with the exception of Form 5 Students.
An Informent of the Big Stomach Blog, who wish to have his/her identity revealed said that such accusations were unfair and that while this has not been the only time students making their own class T-shirt, it is indeed the first time considering it a crime.
Although there is not much that can be done to appeal, unless a formal complained was made to the school, life will still go on as usual in the school. Initially when authors of this blog received such news, we were shocked that such mishap would happen without clear explaination in this particular school, which is considered aprestigious school in the local district.
This is Mr.Sphyncter from BBB News (Big Stomach Blog), and thank you for supporting us.
Midnight Berserker
This was a familier message ringtone that arouse the dim room which grabs my attention as the mobile owner. Thought to be another amusing message that interrupted my intimate connection with my book, I glanced through the message with no collected attention. However, like a bolt from blue, an anonymous sender set on my alarm. An inconvinient yet gruesome truth stucks me in no time stating me and Mr. Sphynchter as the author of the rather populous blog --4SA1.
Dear berserker, what a smart guess, you've made. Yes, indeed. I bares a definate possibility of being mastermind of 'that blog'. But I don't...

Hot News - Ode to The Teachers
Prepare for the most awesome news to follow~
As recent as today morning, the class of 4Sa1 gave a vote on who to be the sex symbol of the class, and for the teachers of the school.
Well, the staff room is very diverse right? Surely there must be someone to outshine them all!
Readers of course, I am sure is aware of Marilyn Monroe, the worldwide sex symbol of the 50s. Today, another unsung hero was found.
Sadly though, the big stomach will not post the name of the teacher, nor of the 4sa1 student without their pictures. We will try with our best effort to obtain them before posting them here. Wow, this is a big surprise isn't it? isn't everybody anticipating? Being a sex symbol ain't easy. It means competitions, it means staying pretty, it means staying slim, it means all to be a model in disguise.
And who shall that lucky one be? That we will know shortly after. Thank you for supporting this blog.
Ladies n' Gentlemen:
ODE TO THE TEACHERS~
Yours, one and truly,

Critisim - Fashion Freaks
By: Mr. Sphyncter
Fashion is a very diverse yet delicate art existing in everywhere in the world regardless of culture, race, religeon. Each continents/contries/race has of course, its own unique fashion. Once fashion was heritage, ranging from ancient clothing such as the chinese cheongsam, japanese kimono, malay "baju kebaya" and much more but today, the people had revolutionised fashion to a much perhaps, "sophisticated level". These are the freaks of fashion that demoralised human clothing civilisation. Of course, it had, in time became another type of fasion, although very much contradicting with local normes.
Fundamental liberties. No man is to be deprieved of his freedom to choose, and to do as he wish as long as not being above the law. There is no right or wrong in the fashion world. A simple dress may caught the eye of someone, but to another it will be nothing but ugly. That is the power of fashion, it tends to differ.
"Hookish" or cheap dressing is yet another popular dress among teenagers today. It spreaded like wildfire since the late 90s and today, sadly, a lot of the youngsters are influenced with these type of dressings, perhaps by peer influence.
The Big stomach has never approve of "over-dressing" , or trying to be classy dressing in sophisticated dresses but rather, simply dressed in an elegant yet ravishing manner. However, we would not stop nor reject people who tend to dress differently, after all...we are all but human...
Falling Ashes
and winter's melting snow ablaze;
But through the years men will weep,
of a sudden change of fate
upon the dampened earth reflection speaks,
the moon answering in perfect harmony;
yet the tides has change for waves to speak.
of sorrow and tragic melancholy
Through the hills trees lament
in a windy shining morn;
for in the light voices shrieked
from a steady lustful horn
In the shadows the winds stir rage,
on every road it leaves its prints;
while men will learn to live in cage
but never too short of deadly sins
Yet in due time men will realize
that some wounds could not be sutured;
and when such lines could only call in anguish cries,
a silent but firm protest to mothernature
Do comment....
By, Mr. Sphinchter
Between The Lines
This poem is initially written to describe the ill fate of many suffering from nature's harm, but had been rewritten in a style to protest against the immoral act of human agaisnt mothernature, deforestration, open burning and much more. Of course it also speaks of the ways mothernature strikes back its retribution. More people are suffering even now as we speak because of the minority of selfish people.

On The Go - A Recipe For Disaster
By: Mr. Sphyncter
The article as introduced and written by Mr.Fundus was indeed one interesting one. Never has the big stomach advertise (or in anyway compliment/remark) on any other respective blog in this aspect. However, the tides have change when it comes to the recently uprising "4Sa1 I love you" Blog.
Although Mr. Fundus had not mentioned this, but when i myself visited that site, I was indeed a bit shocked to see such a number of visitors entering the site in just a few days. As I search through the site meter's history, the blog instantly bombarded to the pinacle of attention as of today, with as many as (as seen just now) 33 visitors. Such achievement is a hint of a rising star.
Sadly however, the blog feeds not only celebrity nor worldwide gossip, but thrive on the gossip of a special class, 4SA1 in SMJK Chung Ling Butterworth. As one would go through the pages, it is evident that much gossip on personal attitudes and behaviours were commented there, in a rather amusing and hilarious way, nontheless entertaining.
While some cynics or skeptics would label this blog as a waste of time, immoral, and/or unethical, The Big Stomach is neither happy nor angry with the blog. Most of the story, though elaborated is still based on true facts (as shown by research) but the one thing the author of the blog had failed is telling the world a tale using a much lighter tone, one without such astonishing sharpness and "perfect" eloquence.
We will of course, update readers of the big stomach whenever there are news as such going on. Stay tuned for more, you guys. The big stomach is ever ready for more, local or foreign news.
You Can Finally Fish In Singapore!!!

Mr.Fundus

Batman: The Dark Knight
"He's a silent Guardian. A watchful protector. A Dark Knight."
Released on 18 July 2008, this film was a instant worldwide success. It is directed by Christopher Nolan, and stars Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Michael Caine and others.
As I myself is considered a fan, though not those crazy ones of Batman, I had taken the liberty of watching it in the cinema once released and I must say, it was real superb, especially the plot. Not only was it creative, but the twist in the plot was totally riveting, and one would indeed be enthralled from the beggining of the film to the end. This movie was one of its kind, like no other, i can say!
For those who have yet to see this movie, I urge all of you to, this is something that must not be missed!
Here's the film thriller, and as I am sure, will entertain you as it had entertained me.

Well, in this year, Havard continues to root itself on the top of the list for four consecutive years and there are rather not many unexpected changes in the list which predictable. And also I found this site (http://www.topuniversities.com/university_rankings/results/2008/overall_rankings/fullrankings/) very useful for us who may concern on future study and also finance and accomdation problems on distance learning.

Princess: A True Story of Life Behind the Veil in Saudi Arabi
This is a book not to be missed.
Set in modern times, the main character behind the story is Princess Sultana, who is, even till now, a princess living in the kingdom of saudia arabia. Born a royal like any of her sisters and brother of the Al'Saud family, she had everything in her possesion yet she had nothing.
since small she had came to understand the cruel fate that awaits her in the land of Arab. While being incredulously opulent in her riches, she still could not accept the fact that women in saudi Arabia are mentally chained by their husbands, fathers, brothers and sons - all men of the family.
This is a touching story of a princess who tries to liberate, to change the fate of thousands and thousands of women in saudia Arabia, in a desperate attempt to help all other who suffered. But even she as a royal could do nothing but gain little freedom here and there.
There are altogether three books written about her life there, in order to let the outer world know more about life in saudia Arabia, and the torment that women went through there.
The first book is of course:
Princess
while
Daughters Of Arabia being the second book of the three sequel
and
Desert royal as the final book
Below are some of the few lines from the story:
"By treating women as slaves, as property, men have made themselves as unhappy as the women they rule, and have made love and true companionship unattainable to both sexes." page 22-23
"The mere suspicion of sexual misconduct, such as kissing, can bring death to a young girl. In addition, public congratulations are given from the men of religion for the father's "notable" act of upholding the commands of the Prophet!" page 62
"We women are vassals, and the walls of our prisons are inescapable, for this grotesque disease of preeminence lives in the sperm of all men and is passed along, generation to generation - a deadly, incurable disease whose host is male and victim is female." page 120
The book had succeeded in raising the attention of many, for people of this world feel compassion for the unfortunate ones. Many had tried to fight for women's rights and many had failed. How could we ever stop sexism from spreading? Only god knows.
Here are some compliments and remakrs from various sources.
"Unforgettable..fascinating..a book to move you to tears"
-FAY WELDON
"The Startling truth behind the veiled lives of Saudi Arabia's women...frank and vivid revelations"
-SUNDAY EXPRESS
"Princess is a mind-boggling look at the everyday life of a contemporary woman in the 21,000-member strong royal family..absolutely riveting"
-PEOPLE MAGAZINE
"Gripping...a fast-paced, enthralling drama rich in details..."
-PUBLISHERS WEEKLY
"Anyone with the slightest interest in human rights will find this book heart wrenching. It is well written, personal story...It had to come from a native woman to be believable"
