SHOCKING! - Hundreds of Nudes Cross the Tyne

Readers,

While browisng the net lately on bizzare news/news of the world, i came across this funny piece of info, directly BBC news. here's the whole piece of the info, just for your stomach^^ ENJOY!

Hundreds of Nudes Cross the Tyne
1,700 men and women have appeared naked in Tyneside in the name of art.

Starting at a chilly 0400 BST, they posed at four locations in Newcastle and Gateshead, donning plastic white ponchos to cross the River Tyne.

New York photographer Spencer Tunick enlisted the volunteers for Naked City, his first large-scale UK installation.

It follows his nude photo shoots in New York, Barcelona, Belgium and Brazil. "There is a sensual element to it, but it's not a sexual experience," he said.
'Public sphere'

Gateshead's Baltic Centre said the work would show "the poetic whole resulting from individual bodies arranged in a sculptural way in an urban setting".

This would "challenge traditionally-held views on nudity and privacy as well as social and political issues surrounding art in the public sphere".

Volunteers from around the world - including Australia, Belgium and Peru - signed up, among them a vicar.

They had to dodge chips and kebab remnants dropped by the previous night's revellers as they made their way around a cordoned-off section of the Newcastle and Gateshead quaysides.
Designer Cally Daniels, 34, from Edinburgh, said the event had nothing to do with exhibitionism.
She said: "It was strange not to be self-conscious in that environment - normally I wouldn't even wear a skirt, I only wear trousers, so nobody even sees my legs."

'Nothing sexual'

University lecturer Fiona Jamieson, from Newcastle, added: "The photos are of nude people, but there is nothing sexual about it.

"It's about being completely natural, normal human beings, and everyone can be in the photos."

"The people who do this installation will be very lucky, because they got beyond their fears to do it "
Spencer Tunick

A documentary following the event - Naked City: Spencer Tunick in Newcastle Gateshead - will be broadcast on BBC Three at 2100 BST on Sunday.

Tunick, 38, carried out the world's largest nude photo shoot in Barcelona in June 2003, when 7,000 volunteers stripped for the camera.

In 1994 both he and a female model were arrested in New York when she posed nude on top of an eight-foot high replica Christmas tree in Manhattan's Rockerfeller Center.

Among those taking part in Newcastle were Tunick fans who follow him around the world.

Google Attack! G1 Phone Threaten iPhone

Widely anticipated G1 Phone finally launched in America this Wednesday and comsumers are crazy over this new invention.

In pass few years, iPhone had become the dominant phone on the market (which I am using now) and claimed to have sold over 4 millions in this period of time. Susprises doesn't ends here while Apple launched another earth shaking phone, iPhone 3G, freaturing 3G, scientific calculator etc. function and costs half the price (USD 199)! Once again, consumers are attracted and reign shops to get this phone in first hand.

However, title had to be changed unfortunately, with Google launching G1 Phone, a revelutionary phone with kedboard and 3 megapixels camera and costed at a shocking 180 Dollar (RM 640)!

There phone are yet to be official sold in Malaysia for now, sorry for us. However, what would actually happen to those common phone brands like Nokia, Sony Errison etc. if they did launched in our counter, I wonder...

Global Financial Crisis: Even The Queen Take The Strikes!

Queen Elizabeth II wasn't spared from the economy downfalls faced by the whole world. Currently, the Queen had took serious hit due to the global economy depression later, a big one. Approximately 37 million pounds was loss (which is about 37% of her total share value) and yet more to be.... In order to cope with this serious problem, a plan had to be taken!

Well, the Queen had finally decided to open the Garden of the Buckingham Palace for tourists and even locals to visit with an astounding 20 pounds per visit. The garden has a total area of 39 acres and contains of hundreds and hundreds of unique floras which are rare to be seen outside.

The world is having big problem now, as we are... Everyone has to face troublesome finacial problem over and over again. So, when will it actually stops? Guess it'll has to be the end of time....

1600 Giant Panda Invade Paris, Italy

It's the 8th wonder of the world!! Sixteen-hundreds of giant panda invaded Paris city overnight. But, fear not. These sixteen-hundreds giant pandas are made up of paper mache for the campaign held by World Wildlife Fundation (WWF) in order the raise the awareness of protecting the quickly-extincting animal.

There approximately 1600 giant panda left in this world and the future is not looking good. A survey shows that almost 50% of living species on the Earth will be extinct in the next century, contributed by araising global warming, deforestation which led to loss of wildlife habitate and also wildlife poachers.

There millions of species on planet Earth as we all knows made up of our diverse ecosystem. There are different type of floras and faunas which interact with each other in the utterly most distictive ways. And maybe it's why, the distictiveness of it, had made planet Earth a unique and wonderful place to be. Yes, indeed, we might still got to enjoy the beauty of the nature in this generation. But, if we take it for granted, what would actually happen to the next generation?

As this statement knocked me, my mind recalled me of an advertisment by WWF months ago. This advertisment coined, humming birds are here on Earth to spread and pollinate the seeds, spores of fauna, little plants are here to produce oxygen enough to sustain life on Earth, so why are we here, maybe its the most common yet difficult question to be answered. We, human being, proclaimed ourselves as the ruler of the Earth, one who leads, yet destroying the Earth is what we've done in the past. Safe the animal, safe the Earth, nature do has its way of fighting back as history told us, don't let it happen...... Not a single chance!

You Can Finally Fish In Singapore!!!

Wonder why I made that statement? Well, here's the moral of the story. There was a saying that coined 'you can't fish in Singapore because like the resident, the fish just won't open their mouth'. This disturbing accusation has indeed scoffed over the coward Singaporean and so called kia-si attitude that results in the reluctant of discussing sensitive issue open-minded. But things are changing, our neighbour Singaporean finally stand up for themselves in the name of justice. In 12th Octorber, hundreds and thousands of senior citizens in Singapore have a riot in their native country concerning on global financial issue which stuck in many country including Singapore. Rumours has it that they will not regain their pencen in future if the so-called 21st century Great Depression continue to deteriorate. The riot stands their hopes on recovering their pencen so their years of hard work won't gone in ashes. Well, the Singaporean finally opens their mouth and fishing will also soon proof to be a reasonable leisure.....

However, sample of the notes are protected well which results in leakage of the note and now being the hot target of black market so as to clone the note.

Asking me where is MU, UUM, USM and blah blah blah, I don't know, cuz they are simply not in the listing of the top 200. Well, in this year, Havard continues to root itself on the top of the list for four consecutive years and there are rather not many unexpected changes in the list which predictable. And also I found this site (http://www.topuniversities.com/university_rankings/results/2008/overall_rankings/fullrankings/) very useful for us who may concern on future study and also finance and accomdation problems on distance learning.
